Didsbury Park facilities

Didsbury Park has facilities for people of all ages and interests. Ideas for what to do in the park can be found in the activities section.

Sport

Didsbury Park football pitch There is a football pitch (used by schools) and a basketball court. You can also play games of Frisbee etc on the open spaces in the park.

Bowling green

Didsbury Park has two excellent bowling greens and is home to an active bowling club. If you’re interested in playing a game, or you want to join the club, contact Diana Buckley on 0161 445 3989 or Ray Wright on 0161 224 8840.

For children

In the northwest corner, you’ll find a playground with swings, a roundabout and climbing frame. The Beehive (the building and playground by the north entrance to the park) is currently being replaced by a new SureStart Centre, due to open in January 2010.

Bird garden

Didsbury Park bird garden gateThe park's bird garden has bird tables for small birds, and trees and shrubs to encourage birds into the area. There is an information board in the bird garden so you can find out more about the birds that visit.

Other

Didsbury Park is popular with dog-walkers, joggers, picnickers and people out for a stroll. There are a variety of trees, open grassy spaces, wooded sections, concrete paths, and benches where you can sit an enjoy the sunshine (or the rain!).
